when changing the start and end points in an audio clip, the length of the clip doesn't change
I want to use Frames 6 with grade 6 classes. I love the simplicity compared to Flash. And specifically I liked the "match length to audio" feature. However, when you edit the audio clip to be shorter, the "container" length stays the same. With the "Loop/Trim" option selected, my expectation is that the container would adjust to the new length (and the frame, as well). Obviously that's not what happens; fair enough. BUT, there is no real indication of how long the audible portion is, except subtracting the end time from the start time (which problematically rounds to whole seconds).
Surprisingly, the adjusted audio still STARTS at the beginning of the container, and of course then loops later on. And since you can't see the waveform in the container, it is a major pain to adjust the container length to the looping point. And that's not even trying to get grade 6's to do this!
If there is an easy way to edit the audio and get the container to match, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, I'm really hoping it can get fixed in the program! Tech4Learning????
