You will need to install the patch referenced here. You will also need to install a system level Java. You should be prompted that Java is required and taken to the Apple App store to install Java when launching Pixie 2.
However, we are no longer developing Pixie 2 and can no longer provide support for that application. We strongly recommend that you upgrade to the current version of Pixie - Pixie 4. You can find out more about Pixie 4 here.

We are a school with a Mc Computer Lab. I have a license for Pixie 2 and love using it. Is there anything I can do to get it to run? Thanks!
