As long as your students have an account in Wixie within your district/school, and their reference ID does not change, then their work will be there.
Next year, when the student is promoted to the new grade on the CSV file (or within Wixie according to your provisioning methods), a folder is created for the previous grade's work. All of that work is visible, but will be marked read only. If a student needs to edit the work, they can duplicate it and edit or add to the project in the duplicated copy.
This will allow teachers and students to see the growth of the students over the years and keep this year's projects as the main focus.
