The first set of instructions has been modified slightly to show how to browse the network, or you can skip step 5 if all of the files you want to import are on your computer.
Here are the steps for importing from your network (picking a single Pixie 3 file) -
1. Open Pixie
2. Open the file where you want to combine all of the images
3. Click the Projects button
4. Select Import Pages
5. At the Import Pages dialog, click the Browse button
6. Navigate to the file you want to add
7. Click the file to select it
8. Click the Open button
If the file is more than one page, you will see the Import Pages dialog, click the import button to import all pages or select the pages you want and then click the import button
If the file is a single page it will be added to the current document.
If you want to add everything from a folder, the process is basically the same -
1. Copy all of the files you want to combine into a folder on your teacher computer
2. Open Pixie
3. Click the Projects button
4. Select Import Pages
5. Locate the folder where you copied your pixie 3 projects into
6. Click the folder to select it
7. Click the Import button
8. If the folder contains items that are all one page, they will be added into your current project
9. If the folder contains items that are more than one page, you will see the Import Pages dialog.
10. Select the pages you want to add by clicking them
11. Click the Import button
All of the selected images will be added into the current document.
After you've combined all of your Pixie projects into a single file, you can create a Movie or Webpage to share your student projects.
For Pixie 4:
In Pixie 4, Import Pages is found under the File menu. Otherwise, the steps are the same.
To see a PDF for these steps, you can go here:
http://recipes.tech4learning.com
Click Snacks at the top right
Select Pixie 3 in the list shown
In the Search field on the right type: Import
You will see the two referenced snacks -

What about when using the Pixie app? Is there a way to combine student work? I had my students put their Pixie into Dropbox (as a file) and then one student in the group took the files out of Dropbox so they are all on one iPad. Now what? I want to combine them into one project that the group collectively created. Please help.

You can use the Pixie 3.1 or Pixie 4 desktop application to combine projects made on Pixie mobile.
Go to the File menu and choose Import Pages in Pixie 4.
In Pixie 3, click the Projects menu and choose Import Pages.
